I went to Ghana for a last-minute week in April 2017. Steve Wilson of Easy Track Ghana organised everything quickly and efficiently and Enock Amoako was a really excellent driver and travelling companion.

Enock finds a Home's hinge-back tortoise in the forest at Kakum National Park

A well-maintained 4x4 is essential in Ghana. Enock tries to avoid the thousands of African beak butterflies in the Bobiri Forest near Kumasi

Even the forest butterflies took to Enock.

The itinerary took me from Accra to the Shai Hills Resource Reserve, to Kakum National Park, Ankasa National Park, the Bobiri Forest near Kumasi in the Ashanti Regionand a morning at the Aburi Botanical Gardens.
